Question on watchfulness and faithfulness

Watchman

Hi everyone,

I’ve been reflecting on what it means to remain watchful and faithful as a believer when circumstances are unclear and easy answers are absent.

I recently read a long-form letter written in a watchman spirit, engaging these questions broadly from a biblical and Adventist perspective (archived here for reference:
The Watchman Letter I : The Watchman : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive).

My question isn’t about promoting the letter itself, but about Adventist understanding:

How do we understand the responsibility to remain watchful and faithful when direction is uncertain and discernment is tested?
What principles guide you in such times?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Knowing this, that everyone must give account of their deeds before the Lord, whether good or evil, therefore watch and pray lest ye fall into temptation (Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 4:12; Mathew 12:36, 26:41; Luke 21:36)
